Air pollutants mainly come from discharges of gases and particles from industry, motor vehicles and domestic wood burning.
The most widespread pollutants are carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, sulfur dioxide, volatile organic compounds, hydrocarbons, particles and leads.
The main sources of carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, sulfur dioxide are combustion of fossil fuels. These are coal, oil and gas.
The control of those pollutants has became a significant issue on the agenda of governments worldwide resulting in national and regional initiative to reduce emissions.
If the 'acceptable level' is exceeded many people may be harmed or some part of the environment significantly changed.
This level should never be exceeded .
For this reason, KARE Engineering has engaged in a continuous effort to develop improved desulfurization processes, capable of achieving high levels of performance and reliability at the lowest possible lifecycle cost.
